Throughout its 1,000 year history the ancient walled city of Marrakech has been visited by many fabled explorers, perhaps the most famous of which was Ibn Battuta. Located in the heart of Marrakech medina, Riad Explore pays homage to these pioneers of discovery. Today, curious explorers from far and wide are warmly invited to stay at Riad Explore, a charming boutique guest house. Here, guests can experience the same legendary Moroccan hospitality bestowed upon the early pioneers of travel.

Riad Explore is a haven of tranquility in which to escape the mêlée of the medina. Decorated in shades of grey, silver, black and white and adorned with African art this stylish riad has all the amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Take a dip in a palm-fringed plunge pool, laze in the shade of a nomad tent on the roof garden, or enjoy a delicious Moroccan lunch of briouat or pastilla. Once the day is done, retreat to a room styled with tadelakt and zellige for a truly authentic Moroccan feel. Suitable for private groups, Riad Explore can be rented on an exclusive basis with housekeeper, cook and host.

Rates

Rates vary by season. High season is generally March, April, May plus Oct, Nov and Christmas/New Year.

Cosy rooms from 775 to 975 MAD.
Standard rooms from 975 to 1,235 MAD.
Extra bed 325 MAD.
Half board 250 MAD pp.

Rates indicated are for a twin/double room, per night, and include breakfast but exclude a local 'Tax de Sejour' of 26 MAD per person per night. Request a quote for current best available rates, long stays and packages combining two or more Moroccan Hideaways properties.

Getting There

Located at 35 Derb Ben Amrane, off Rue Riad Zitoun el Kdim, very close to Djemaa el Fna (300m, 3 minute walk) in Marrakech medina; nearest airport is Marrakech Menara (16 minutes by car, 7 km). Drop-off point is Mellah roundabout / taxi rank (then a 400m, 5 minute walk to Riad Explore).

Standard Rooms - Eight classic Moroccan style en suite twin, double or triple rooms.

Private Riad Rental - Riad Explore can be rented exclusively. Book early!
